About: Insight Film is a new production company set up by filmmakers Hugh Davies and Clive Patterson, born out of the BAFTA and Emmy award-winning Insight TWI. The company specialises in feature documentaries and series that combine rigorous journalism with creative storytelling. We are interested in collaborating with talent from diverse backgrounds to tell important stories that push the form of factual filmmaking.
Recent projects include Football’s Darkest Secret (2021) a three part series for BBC1 directed by Daniel Gordon and produced by Hugh Davies – which received 5 star reviews from The Guardian, The Times, The Daily Mail, The Telegraph and The i – Clive Patterson’s Sing, Freetown (2021) which premiered at Sheffield DocFest followed by a limited cinema release with Picturehouse Cinemas and So Foul A Sky (2021) which premiered in competition at CPH:DOX and has been sold to Netflix. We are currently in production on two more feature documentaries.
