Wales Screen Summit 2023

The Wales Screen Summit brings together leading professionals from the UK and internationally to pitch ideas, broker co-productions and work together on shaping the future growth and continued success of production in and from Wales.

It is also a platform for the industry to celebrate many of the successes that the Welsh indie sector and local broadcasters have achieved to date, and announcements for future collaborations and new game-changing commissions.

This year's edition includes a session on one of the biggest shows of 2022, The Traitors. The blockbuster of a panel will discover the shows fascinating origin story from Dutch format to world domination, how it was adapted to create a smash hit here in the UK and beyond as well as a look ahead to the hugely anticipated second series. The panel consists of the Studio Lambert Executives Sarah Fay and Toni Ireland, the BBC Commissioners Neil McCallum and Syeda Irtizaali and star of series one Amanda Lovett.

Other confirmed speakers include Kate Philips – Director of Unscripted, BBC; Ian Katz – Chief Content Officer for Channel 4; Ben Frow – Chief Content Officer, UK at Paramount; Sian Doyle – Chief Executive Officer, S4C; Rhuanedd Richards – Director of BBC Wales; and Jo Street – Head of Daytime & Features and Head of Hub Glasgow, Channel 4.
