The TV market in Scotland: audiences, commissioning and the future of the BBC

This timely Westminster Media Forum conference examines the future of the TV market in Scotland, focusing on priorities for serving audiences, commissioning and for supporting independent production.

Delegates will consider the potential impact of the proposals on the television sector and more widely, as well as how all broadcasters can best respond to the rapidly changing media market - and to new patterns of audience demand and demographic changes, following concerns over the quality and quantity of programming serving audiences in Scotland.

Speakers include Pact’s regional representative for Scotland, Jane Muirhead (MD, Raise the Roof Productions), Bill Matthews (Trustee for Scotland, BBC Trust), David Fleetwood (Programme Manager, Innovation and Investment Hubs and Broadcasting Policy, The Scottish Government), and Ian Small (Head of Public Policy and Corporate Affairs, BBC Scotland).
