About Zai

As Director of Sky Atlantic Zai oversees major US content including Game of Thrones, Billions and Silicon Valley as well as premium original drama like Fortitude, Penny Dreadful and The Last Panthers as well as upcoming shows like Tin Star with Tim Roth and Guerrilla with Idris Elba.

Prior to this, Zai was Controller of BBC Three for three years. In that time the channel overtook Channel 4 for 16-24 year olds and won six Baftas. Other highlights include record breaking comedies Bad Education and Cuckoo, popular factual hits The Call Centre and Hair and major landmark seasons on Crime and Punishment and Mental Health. Prior to joining the BBC, Bennett spent 12 years at ITV where he was part of the launch team for ITV2, 3 and 4. He transformed ITV2 with commissions including The Only Way is Essex, Secret Diary of A Call Girl and Celebrity Juice.

Zai was the Advisory Chair for the 2015 Guardian International Television Festival.
