He is a former BBC Commissioning Executive with responsibility for Welsh independent companies, and has also helped set up and run Bristol offices for Tiger Aspect, RDF and Keo Films. In recent years he has worked as Creative Director at Wildflame Productions in Cardiff and as Development Head at True To Nature in Bristol, and acted as Consultant to Orchard Media and Hall Of Mirrors in Cardiff. As a freelance Executive he has worked with a range of indies including Icon Films in Bristol, Richard Macer’s Platform Productions in Manchester, Blast!, Optomen and RizeUSA. His shows have won RTS, Broadcast, and MIPCom awards, and have been nominated/short-listed for a BAFTA, Grierson and TV Choice awards.

He has also given courses and seminars for the Indie Training Fund, Creative Skillset, Screenskills and the University of the West of England, written two reports for Creative Diversity Network/Creative Skillset on their Diverse Commissioner Programmes, and has served on Prix Italia, RTS, Women In Film & TV and Grierson Award juries.

Nick is currently a member of the BAFTA Cymru Committee, and an RTS Member.
