What is
Pact Future?
Pact Future is our tailored leadership and development programme for ambitious independent production companies based in the nations and regions.
The two-year growth scheme is designed to identify promising indies in a designated nation or region and support them to grow their businesses both domestically and internationally.
The programme is open to Pact members and non-members. Successful applicants receive two-years' free Pact membership, access to in-person workshops, guidance from industry experts, strategic insights, practical tools to accelerate growth, and ongoing support designed to strengthen leadership, resilience and long-term growth.

Future Schemes
The scheme launched in 2021 with Future30, created to mark Pact’s 30th anniversary, which supported 30 emerging independent production companies from across the UK. Future North East followed as the second programme and was the first to focus on companies within a specific region. It ran from 2023 to 2025 with a cohort of 10 North East–based independent producers.
Our current programme, Future Wales, supports 11 Wales-based companies and runs from 2025 to 2027.

How do I apply?
We are not currently accepting applications. The next Pact Future scheme will take place after the current scheme has ended.
When we open applications for the next scheme, we will share the details about where it will be based and how to apply via our website and in our weekly newsletter.
When will applications open?
We do not yet have a date for when applications for the next Pact Future scheme will open but it will not be before the end of our current scheme, which runs until Autumn 2027.
Who is the scheme for?
The Pact Future scheme is designed to support ambitious independent producers to grow their businesses. It is aimed at companies within their first one to three years of trading or companies whose turnover has not yet exceeded £2,000,000 per annum.
