Investing in Future Skills

We work with our members and industry partners in the production sector to try to attract and retain the UK's best and brightest talent.

The UK Government’s Creative Industries Sector Vision, which Pact helped to develop, was unveiled in 2023. Its stated ambition is to create one million extra jobs by 2030 and deliver a creative careers promise that builds a pipeline of future talent. We are committed to playing our part in realising that joint vision.

Our Chief Executive, John McVay OBE is the Vice Chair of the pan-screen industry Skills Task Force, which consists of 28 organisations including broadcasters, streamers, unions and trade bodies. The task force released its first report in November 2023, recommending a set of strategic actions for the sector.

The Pact Indie Scheme is an invaluable opportunity to work at some of the most prominent production companies and on the biggest shows in the UK, alongside industry standard mentorship and training.
