Branded Entertainment and Product Placement: The Ofcom Rules

Join Broadcast & Advertising Regulatory Consultant, Duane Dedman for a session designed to help productions navigate Ofcom regulations with clarity.

Event
Overview

Branded entertainment (otherwise known as advertiser-funded programmes or AFPs) and product placement (PP) can generate new revenue streams for production companies and broadcasters, allowing brands to be part of the story - not just the ad break. But what are the rules?

This session offers guidance on navigating Ofcom's regulations on product placement, including which products can be featured, where they can (and can't) appear, and the editorial justifications required - so you and your productions can remain compliant.

Duane Dedman from Reviewed & Cleared will outline the relevant rules for AFPs and PP as well as discussing their practical applications.
