While allowances are already built into the various accounts in many budgets created by line producers, there is a movement backed (and already actioned) by some broadcasters and streamers to demonstrate more clearly the investments the production intends to make around production support, this involves creating a separate account line.
The topsheet would show an account line: PRODUCTION SUPPORT and the sub-categories would be displayed as pictured.
As you can see, Health and Safety is included in this section as - while long established in the industry - it is considered a form of production support.
While there may be concern about this making it more open to scrutiny, like everything else in the budget, it should require justification, and hopefully this document supports you with that. You could also include in here the production support you will be putting on the production that is free, to demonstrate your overall commitments.
