Diamond exists to give us a clear picture of the people working across the UK television industry so we can support a fairer and more inclusive sector for everyone.
As we previously made members aware, Diamond reporting will relaunch with The Everyone Project on Wednesday 30th September to bring simpler, more secure, more relevant and more useful data collection and reporting to the UK television industry. The new and improved platform means less admin and more insights for you, allowing you to better understand your workforce and meet industry requirements.
There is now lots of information available from the Creative Diversity Network (CDN) to help you prepare and participate:
- Everything you need to know about Diamond, the relaunch and FAQs
- More information about The Everyone Project
- New privacy and data use overview
- Sign up to a drop-in Q&A session or training webinar
We also shared an update for Pact members previously with some template wording to use in your cast and crew contracts for UK PSB TV productions. We will be updating all of the Pact template contracts in due course.
By now, you should have heard from any broadcasters you are currently working with about how to manage the transition for current productions during the system downtime between Saturday 8th August (when Silvermouse will no longer be available) and Wednesday 30th September. If you have not heard from your commissioning broadcaster about this but believe you should have, you may want to enquire with your commissioning contact.
Why Diamond
Matters
The UK television industry is made up of thousands of people across different roles, locations, experiences and backgrounds. To support it properly, we need to understand who is working in the industry, who is getting opportunities and where gaps and barriers to participation exist. Diamond provides a trusted, industry‑wide view on representation. Empowering better decisions on skills, interventions, funding and development, all of which help build a more open, inclusive sector.
Thanks for playing your part - together we are helping to make the UK television industry fairer and more inclusive for all.
