Broadcast has announced its 2026 list of the Best Places to Work in TV and Pact member companies dominate all 10 of the top spots.
Coming in first this year was London-based Initial, part of the Banijay group and makers of Amazon Prime comedy hit, Last One Laughing and reality stalwart, Big Brother.
Manchester-based After the Flood producer, Quay Street (part of ITV Studios) and London-based The Responder producer, Dancing Ledge (last year's winner) round out the top three.
The annual list is open to companies with at least 15 employees and the results are based partially on questionnaire responses from indie leaders but predominantly on the responses to an employee engagement survey which asks staff to rate things such as job satisfaction, understanding of company goals, benefits and job security.
The other seven companies to make the top ten are all Pact members: Stellify Media (Belfast), Lion Television (London and Glasgow), Five Mile Films (Bristol), Remarkable Entertainment (London, Glasgow), Dragonfly Film & Television (London, Manchester), Red Planet Pictures (London) and Raise the Roof (Glasgow).
The list comprised of 32 independent production companies in total spread across the UK, and seven non-indies, with post-production house The Finish Line coming out top of the latter.
The other Pact members to be selected are: Air TV (Church Fenton), Arrow International Media (London), Bad Wolf (Cardiff and London), Buzz 16 (London), Candour Productions (Leeds), Curious Films (London), Cwmni Da Cyf (Caernarfon), Firecrest Films (Glasgow), Minnow Films (London), The Garden (London and Leeds), Tuesday’s Child TV (London), Windfall Films (London), Workerbee (Manchester) and Yeti Media (Cardiff).
Huge congratulations to all of the companies who made this year's list.
