Overview

European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE) is one of Europe's leading training and professional development providers for producers.

This year, Pact is once again offering a scholarship for a UK producer to participate in the EAVE Producers Workshop 2027, covering the workshop membership fee, valued at €3,000. The Workshop is aimed at fiction, documentary and TV series producers who wish to expand their operations internationally by increasing their knowledge of producing and co-producing in Europe while building an international network.

The scholarship is in the name and memory of Dorothy Viljoen, an internationally respected media business affairs professional who worked with Pact and played a central role in negotiating the Terms of Trade. Dorothy was involved with the EAVE programme as a negotiation expert from 1991 to 2009.

Each year, over 50 participants are selected from across Europe and beyond and take part in three, week-long workshops. The 2027 workshops will take place in March (Luxembourg), June (location TBC) and October/November (Helsinki). Half of the participants attend with projects which they can develop through intense focus with colleagues and experts throughout the year. The other half participate to focus on developing their companies or advancing their careers.

In order to apply for the Pact scholarship, you will need to tick the box on the application form stating that you wish to apply for a scholarship and then include in your application file a motivation statement to explain why you need a scholarship. As part of the selection process, EAVE will allocate the available scholarships to those eligible for them.
