Event
Overview
Screen Ashford is co-producing its Making It Here: A Future For Independent Production in Kent and the South-East Region event with Pact, supported by Screen South in September.
The session will explore what a thriving and sustainable screen sector could look like outside of London and crucially, what needs to be in place to support independent production companies working in the region.
Pact's Head of Nations and Regions, Chris Curley, will be speaking at the event, helping to unpack what support is currently available for producers in the region, what gaps still exist and what’s needed to build a stronger future for production in the South East.
Chris will be joined by a panel of producers including:
- Miles Jarvis, Founding Partner at Phoenix Television Ltd
- Rukhsana Mosam, Founder and Creative Director at Ten 66 Television
- Plus other independent producers working across Kent and the surrounding area
The panel will discuss how the current Government policy initiatives are delivering for independent producers in the South East as it looks to drive economic growth through the creative industries across the English regions.
The discussion will be followed by an opportunity to network with other industry professionals and regional stakeholders.
