ScreenSkills has launched the coronavirus basic awareness on production e-learning module which is a free training session designed to help screen industry workers stay safe on set during Covid-19.
The 40-minute module addresses a range of issues facing film and TV production and shares crucial information on how to reduce the risk of the spread of the virus on production. At the end of the module, participants will be directed to the assessment test, which consists of 20 multiple-choice questions and has an 80% pass mark. Upon successful completion of the test, you will receive a downloadable certificate.
The e-learning has been supported by the ScreenSkills High-end TV Skills Fund and the BFI, awarding National Lottery funds as part of its Future Film Skills strategy. The module and assessment test are designed specifically for freelancers/crew working in physical production in the film and high-end TV industries, although it is hoped the training will also be broadly useful across the sector for those in physical production.
The training does not replace the need for productions to have their own procedures in place, but should provide a useful foundation for everyone on production to take control of the safety of themselves, their colleagues and their environment.
