Creative Industries and Policy Evidence Centre launch call for evidence on working practices

This week, the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre (PEC) kicked off their independent review of working conditions in the creative sector. The PEC is seeking views from those working in the creative industries on job quality and working practices.

Enhancing job quality and promoting work that is good, fair and decent is an explicit priority in each UK nation as set out in the Government’s Good Work Plan and the programmes of Government in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The PEC is undertaking a major review of job quality and working practices in the Creative Industries to help inform a ten-year roadmap for the advancing Good Work across the Creative Sector. The final review, due to be published in July 2022, will set out a number of high-level priorities and detailed recommendations for Government, the devolved administrations and industry.

The PEC is keen to hear from a variety of stakeholders from across the sector and in each UK nation about the quality of work in the creative sector and how Government and industry can work together.

Pact is encouraging all members to take part in this review and give their view on working practices in the Film and TV production sector. Members can download the call for evidence form on the PEC’s website here. Response forms must be emailed to GoodWork@PEC.ac.uk by 5pm on Friday 29th April. Alternatively, do get in touch with the PEC research team if you would prefer to participate in a telephone consultation.
