Twelve Members have been appointed to Pact Council following the recent election.
The newly elected Pact Council Members, who were announced at the AGM this morning, are:
Sara is Chief Operating Officer at all3media and was uncontested as Pact Chair.
Gwenda is Flame Group Commercial Director, Wildflame Productions Limited and is based in Cardiff. Gwenda will sit on Council as National Representative for Wales and was uncontested.
Kieran is Joint Managing Director of Stellify Media and was uncontested as National Representative for Northern Ireland.
Danny is CEO of Zig Zag Productions which he set up in 1999, having previously spent five years at the BBC. Danny has been re-elected to Pact Council.
Sarah is Director of Legal and Business Affairs at Banijay UK and has been with the company for four years. Sarah has been re-elected to Pact Council.
Alex is Joint Managing Director of Red Planet Pictures and has been part of the team at Red Planet since 2007.
Hakan is Chief Operating Officer for See-Saw Films and joined the company in 2014.
Laura is Managing Director of Icon Films based in Bristol which she set up in 1990. Laura has been re-elected to Pact Council.
Marc is Managing Director of Samuelson Productions and has been an independent TV and film producer since 1990. Marc has been re-elected to Pact Council.
David is Managing Director of Matchlight and was previously Head of Legal and Business Affairs at IWC Media. David was uncontested as National Representative for Scotland.
Helen is Managing Director and Executive Producer of Title Role Productions based in Manchester which she set up in 2005. Helen has been re-elected to Pact Council.
Sue is CEO of Hartswood Films, a small but successful totally independent Company in London and Wales. She has been a TV producer for over 25 years.
Commenting on the appointments, Pact Chief Executive, John McVay, said: “Pact’s success is built on the talent, commitment and determination of its members to make sure it works for all of the membership across the UK and the wider industry.
“I am very pleased to see that the members have elected a group of strong individuals to help us navigate the next two years. At a time of change and uncertainty their skills and expertise will be regularly called upon”.
Pact Council oversees the work of our trade body, signing off budgets and financial plans, as well as agreeing policies, campaigns, terms of trade and collective agreements.
All posts are for a two-year term, running from January 2019 to December 2020.
