Negotiating internationally can make a huge difference to exporting success. The Department for International Trade (DIT) London Region wants to help you begin your journey to greater international success through enhanced negotiation skills.
This workshop is for those who want to develop a greater understanding of negotiation and how they can achieve improved outcomes from it. This is an entry level workshop and no prior knowledge of negotiation theory and tools is assumed.
During the event delegates will use a blend of theory, examples and exercises to help:
- Understand what a negotiation is
- Plan effectively for improved results
- Learn how to create and claim value in a negotiation
- Identify potential biases and other factors that can affect outcomes
- Use influence to improve the outcome
- Identify when not to negotiate

Eligibility/who should attend
Places are limited to two delegates per company.
Companies must be based within one of London’s 33 boroughs and must have been trading for a minimum of 12 months. You must be looking to increase your overseas market access.
Delegates should be exporters or those new to exporting and is not suitable for agencies or intermediaries for example: international business development agencies etc.
