Information on potential funding available for attendance at international markets.
Working with Commissioners.
In April 2006 UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) modified the Sesa (Support
for Seminars and Exhibitions Abroad) scheme. The scheme has now been replaced with the Tradeshow Access Programme (Tap).
Pact is an Accredited Trade Association (ATO) administering UKTI/Tap
funding for UK film and TV companies exhibiting at key international trade
markets and festivals. Pact promotes its members to the international
TV and Film community.
Unlike
the former Sesa scheme, Tap does not include funding for outward
missions. For further information on potential outward mission
funding, companies should contact their regional screen agency. Other key changes are as follows:
1. To
be eligible for funding companies must now be defined as "New To
Export"; with the exception of exhibitions in emerging markets
2. The
eligibility status of companies must be confirmed by the ITA
(International Trade Advisor) in the region of the applicant. Pact will
forward paperwork on the applicants' behalf to the ITA.
3. The max value of the grant is either GDP 1,000, 1,400 or 1,800 subject to the exhibition
4. There is
a life time limit of three grants per eligible company since April
2006 Previous grants awarded under the Sesa Scheme will not count
towards this limit.
Members
are advised to apply as early as possible for grants as, under the new
rules individual events will not have their own ring-fenced budgets -
all applications will now come out of a general Tap funding pot which
all ATOs will have access to.
