HEAD OF LEGAL AFFAIRS – Film, Television and New Media 

Pact is looking for a new Head of Legal Affairs, to be based at its Central London office.  This role involves:

  • Devising policy initiatives and lobbying on behalf of UK commercial film, television and new media producers on issues of employment and copyright
  • Dealing with government bodies and producers on the implementation of new legislation and regulations affecting the UK film TV and new media industry
  • Advising producers on legal issues, especially employment and copyright
  • Providing legal advice to the Pact team
  • Contributing to negotiations with trade unions and collecting societies

The ideal candidate will have up to two years post qualification experience in copyright, employment or contract law, possess a creative commercial outlook, strong presentation and communication skills, and the ability and motivation to operate on their own initiative.  The job involves some travel in Europe.  Experience in or knowledge of the film TV or new media industries would be an advantage.

IT PROJECT MANAGER– SALARY £35,000 PLUS BENEFITS
12 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT, CENTRAL LONDON   


Pact is looking for an IT Project Manager to oversee the setting up and initial operation of a new membership database and website.  The database and website will be a key strategic asset for the organisation and will be vital for communicating information, delivering products and services and raising awareness of Pact and its work.

This role involves:

  • Developing and maintaining Pact’s new membership database and website, matching the specification with team working practices.
  • Managing the clean up of existing data sources and the migration of data.
  • Sourcing suppliers and contractors for the database and website (including front-end design).
  • Training staff in the operation of the website and database and in basic IT procedures
  • Devising trouble-shooting procedures

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and seeing up databases and websites, together with experience of project management and delivery, and excellent interpersonal skills. The candidate should possess good technical knowledge but should also have the ability to make this knowledge understandable to other Pact staff, and to make the database and website user-friendly for customers and colleagues.
