Background

A significant proportion (a little over 40%) of our membership is headquartered outside London. 

In order to ensure that our members based in the nations and regions of the UK have the best access to commissioners, talent, investment and business support, we produce a range of initiatives to ensure that producers based outside London can develop and build strong and sustainable businesses which, in turn, reflect the rich diversity of UK culture.

In the course of our work on your behalf we help facilitate stronger partnerships with broadcasters, regional development agencies and a host of other stakeholder bodies.

What we do

Recent initiatives
The 'Made By A Scottish Indie' initiative, which was supported in association with Creative Scotland, Scottish Enterprise and Scottish Development International highlighted the quality and breadth of Scottish independent production talent.

Representation on Council
We have a number of council members who represent the nations of the UK and the English regions.

Road Shows
During the year, we produce a range of member-only road shows which visit all the key production centres throughout the UK nations and regions where we listen to the issues and concerns of our membership and present a comprehensive sector overview.
