Joyce Adeluwoye-Adams
about me
Joyce joined Pact in April 2009. Her appointment was part of a strategy by Pact, Channel 4 and the BBC to boost diversity in the production sector. Joyce offers advice to independent production companies on developing their approach to diversity, ranging from recruitment of staff to casting, improving diversity in content and developing company diversity policies and training.
Joyce began her industry career as a freelance researcher at the BBC 18 years ago. Since then, she has worked her way up the ranks to series producer working on a range of genres at most of the leading production companies including IWC, Endemol, Shine, Maverick, North One, Monkey Kingdom and Olga.
At Pact she has recently helped over 300 production companies sign up to the CDN Pledge (a public commitment to take measurable steps to improve diversity both on and off-screen), developed a pan-broadcaster event on the Equality Act, devised a BAME Writer’s Scheme and is in the process of creating an interactive disability awareness course for the indie sector.
Joyce also represents Pact at the Creative Diversity Network, is an active member of the industry’s Gender & Age Working Group and sits on the board of Women in Film & TV as Vice Chair.
