    Hakan is currently serving as executive producer for the acclaimed TV series Slow Horses (starring Gary Oldman, Jack Lowden, Kristin Scott Thomas and Jonathan Pryce) and for the forthcoming thriller series Hijack (starring Idris Elba) both for Apple TV+. He has been executive producing scripted TV drama for many years and has overseen the production of The Essex Serpent for Apple TV+ (starring Claire Danes and Tom Hiddlestone), The North Water for the BBC (starring Colin Farrell, Jack O’Connell and Stephen Graham) and both seasons of State of the Union for AMC (which has starred Rosamund Pike, Chris O’Dowd, Brendan Gleeson and Patricia Clarkson).

    Passionate about the UK’s television and film industry, Hakan has been a vocal advocate for the production community. Hakan sat on Pact Council for over five years (and was co-chair of the Film Policy Group for over two years) before being elected as Chair in 2021.   

    In 2020, Hakan, alongside John McVay, received a special innovation award from the Producers Guild of Great Britain for their extensive work with the Government on their Covid Film and TV Production Restart Scheme.
