Dermot is a founding co-director of award-winning Belfast indie DoubleBand, one of the longest running production companies in Northern Ireland. 

With strong links to Channel Four, BBC (network and local) and RTE,  DoubleBand continues to build on its reputation in factual production and has recently expanded into factual TV drama.

Dermot is a long-time advocate for the raising of levels of network production from Northern Ireland and is a previous board member of Northern Ireland Screen.
