Fizzbomb Creative Ignition is an IP creation company across multiple formats including TV, Merchandising, Digital, Publishing and advertising. Manned Media is a media consultancy providing services to Independents and broadcasters.
From 2008 - 2010 Debbie was Chief Operating Officer at Hat Trick Productions, responsible for all commercial and non-creative operations of the business. Hat Trick is a medium sized indie producing a mix of scripted and non scripted programming predominantly in the comedy genre, although recently expanding its slate to include factual entertainment and a significant digital output. During her time at Hat Trick she negotiated the buy back of 45% of the business from August Equity, brought in a new International Director - doubling the rights turnover in less than 2 years, and in collaboration with Jimmy Mulville refocused the development effort, doubling the commissions won by the company from 2008 - 2010.
From 2006 - 2008 Debbie held the post of Group Commercial Director for RDF Media Group, working with all the group companies to maximise the commercial potential of their skills and assets. This included the development of new relationships with major commercial brands and advertising agencies, assessing the UK and international market for acquisition or development opportunities, working with RDF Rights to grow the distribution business, and working with RDF Digital to maximise the group’s skills and assets across new media platforms.
From 2005 – 2006 Debbie was Director of Rights at Flextech TV (now Virgin Media) on their Senior Management team. There she oversaw all content related business affairs and Minotaur, their wholly owned International TV distributor. She was charged with ensuring a cohesive approach to the acquisition and exploitation of Flextech Television’s commissioned programming as well as growing Minotaur’s distribution of Independent programmes.
